Founder and creator of North Shore Salon and Spa, This North Shore, Oahu native is a fourth-generation hairstylist and licensed cosmetologist with over 20 years of experience. Specialties include balayage, blonding, and corrective color.  She has successfully continued to fulfill her passion through her work and has a knack for giving her clients a good laugh while making them feel comfortable and striving to always create and maintain a beautiful new look. Since 2018, Kandy has also established herself in cosmetic and fine line black and grey tattooing. She also provides these services in her tattoo studio along side three other artists located in the same building as the salon.

Elisa started working in her first salon in 2001 and after over 20 years in the industry, hairdressing and helping people look and feel beautiful still remains her passion. She began her career in South Florida and made her way to Los Angeles, where she spent the last 10 years behind the chair in Venice and Playa Vista. She now lives in Haleiwa with her husband, Chris, and their three crazy, little boys. Elisa specializes in color and many different highlighting techniques including balayage, color melting, ombre´, and lived in color. She prides herself on her ability to personally connect with her clients and bringing out their own unique beauty and style. Combining customized color and cut, she will give you a look you love that is tailored to your individual personality and lifestyle

Kayla was born and raised on the North Shore of O’ahu. This local girl grew up in the small town of Waialua. She will continue living her life here with her other half while raising their two boys in her hometown and have them grow up loving the country. Despite being raised in the dirt and in the ocean, Kayla had decided to step out of her comfort zone and start her cosmetology journey in 2020 after not knowing what she wanted to do with her life for two years. She has been mentored by many talented stylists and continues her education to perfect her craft and keep up with current trends. Kayla specializes in seamless dimensional and lived in color. Andi has over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, Andi’s journey in the salon began 2009 in sunny San Diego. From there, her passion for hair led her across the country, with majority of her time spent  in Washington state before landing in beautiful Oahu. Throughout her career, Andi has mastered a wide range of hair services, but her true passion lies in hair color. Whether it’s vibrant hues, natural balayage, and fiery red heads, she’s always excited to help her clients express themselves through their hair. Her true passion is making clients comfortable and enhancing their natural beauty. She’s a mom to two beautiful crazy girls that prides herself on creating personalized experiences for every individual. She believes in staying current with the latest techniques and trends, ensuring every client leaves her chair feeling confident and refreshed.

Starting her career in a high school vo-tech program back in 1996, Kara thought cosmetology would just be a backup plan—until she fell head over heels for the beauty industry. From the iconic Elizabeth Arden Salon in downtown Pittsburgh to becoming a Paul Mitchell educator

traveling the tri-state area, she’s done it all: teaching stylists, working fashion shows, and specializing in everything from long hair design to bold color techniques. In 2012, she traded city life for surf life and moved to Oahu’s North Shore, where her work shifted to bridal, fashion, and film—including shows like Magnum PI and Hawaii Five-0. After a few sweet years at home

with her daughter, she’s back behind the chair doing what she loves most: creating beautiful, personalized color and connecting with women to help them feel confident and seen. From vibrant fantasy shades to soft, organic lived-in color, she’s got you covered—and can’t wait to

Born in Japan and raised in Honolulu, Elise brings a genuine sense of warmth and care to every guest she works with. After spending over a decade working at Aveda salons in North Carolina, she’s built a strong foundation in both haircutting and color. Whether it’s crafting a cut that fits your lifestyle or creating a color that enhances your natural tone, Elise is all about effortless, personalized beauty. Clean beauty is always at the heart of her approach.

Outside of the salon, Elise pours her creativity into Aloha Made Apothecary, her passion project focused on natural, organic beauty products. On days off, you’ll likely find her hiking, at the beach, or crafting up some sort of art project.

Nail Technician

North Shore native of Oahu, Kadince was raised in the beauty industry with her mom and aunts. Being exposed to all aspects at such an early age, it was only natural for her to become a part of the industry  as she took a liking to nails. She has since developed a passion for it and enjoys the process of creating.

Aloha, my name is Caitie Hodel and I’m a tattoo artist at North Shore Salon and Spa! I have been an artist all my life, but my tattooing journey began 3 years ago.  I started out learning and working at Hawaii Tattoo Collective as a licensed artist for about 2 years. I mostly tattoo fine line style. I love the complexity and fine attention to detail that bigger sized pieces require, but I also enjoy the simplicity and timeless style of tiny tattoos. Hi! My name is Sasha and I have been tattooing for 5 years. I studied bamboo tattoo and Sak Yant style in Thailand and completed another apprenticeship right here on the north shore. My style continues to grow but I currently specialize in fine line, floral, botanical and animal tattoos with a love for black and grey realism and dot work geometry. I enjoy contouring the body with flowing pieces to accentuate and define features. I aim to make you feel even more comfortable in your skin with artwork that will give a lifetime of enjoyment!
